Powering the Future of Connectivity and Intelligence
FTH is a deep-tech R&D company pioneering 5G/6G testbeds, intelligent networks, and AI-driven infrastructure for a smarter, connected world.

Father Equipment (FTH) is an R&D company, a spinoff of the Future Networks lab from National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest.
We specialize in building and enhancing 5G and 6G testbed infrastructures—integrating state-of-the-art Radio Access Network (RAN) and Core elements into controlled environments that accelerate the transition from 5G to 6G.
With cutting-edge work in dynamic network slicing, autonomous orchestration, and next-gen testbeds, we bridge the gap between research and real-world deployment.

Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) combines communication networks with sensing capabilities, opening new possibilities for smart infrastructure and autonomous systems.
FTH’s expertise in ISAC focuses on developing solutions that enable simultaneous data transmission and environmental sensing, while also maintaining the compatibility with legacy cellular-localization systems.
This dual functionality is critical for autonomous vehicles, environmental monitoring, and smart grids, where real-time data collection and communication are essential.
FTH’s work in ISAC is particularly relevant to next-generation wireless networks, where sensing capabilities can enhance security, localization, and energy efficiency.

In the realm of Smart Agents, FTH team can contribute to the development of intelligent systems capable of making autonomous decisions and executing tasks in dynamic environments. FTH’s work in this area emphasizes the integration of multi-agent systems with AI-driven decision-making.
Automation is another key research focus for FTH’s team. The automation of network services using AI-driven orchestration is a primary area of interest, enabling self-optimizing networks that can adapt to changing conditions in real-time.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is at the core of many of FTH’s projects, providing the foundation for smart cities, connected transportation, and digital health solutions.
FTH’s contributions to IoT research include the design and deployment of scalable IoT platforms that support a wide range of devices and applications. These platforms leverage advanced connectivity solutions such as 5G, 4G NB-IoT/LTE-M and LoRaWAN to ensure reliable and secure communication.
One notable contribution in the IoT space is FTH’s work on sensor fusion and edge computing solutions, which enable real-time data processing at the network edge. By integrating IoT with AI and cloud computing, FTH is helping to create smarter, more responsive systems that can adapt to user needs and environmental conditions.

A critical component of smart city development is the Digital Twin – a virtual representation of physical environments that enables real-time monitoring and simulation. FTH’s can contribute in this area by focusing on building accurate and scalable digital twin platforms that can be used for urban planning, infrastructure monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
By integrating digital twin technology with IoT and AI, FTH team can create a more data-driven approach to city management, reducing operational costs and improving decision-making.

Smart Mobility and Transportation is a crucial area where FTH team can be driving innovation. The future of urban transportation lies in connected and autonomous vehicles, intelligent traffic management, and multimodal transportation systems.
FTH’s research in this domain focuses on vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication.
By leveraging 5G and B5G technologies, FTH is developing solutions that enable real-time communication between vehicles, infrastructure, and pedestrians, enhancing safety and efficiency.

AI for Everything encapsulates FTH’s team vision for the future, where artificial intelligence plays a central role in all aspects of technology and society.
FTH’s team is exploring the use of AI-driven network management systems that can predict and prevent network failures, optimize resource allocation, and enhance user experience. The integration of AI with IoT, smart agents, and automation is creating a new wave of intelligent systems that can operate autonomously and learn from their environment.
